TOMS RIVER, NJ – A shoplifting incident occurred at the Home Depot on Route 9 in Toms River on Wednesday afternoon, just before 3:00 PM. The Toms River Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying two suspects involved in the theft of a large amount of wire.

The suspects reportedly used bolt cutters to break the lock securing wire behind cages, stealing 27 rolls of 12-2 wire valued at $2,916.00. When confronted by an employee, one of the suspects brandished a utility knife and threatened the worker. The suspects were then seen loading the wire into a white Chevy Impala and fleeing the area.
