LEE COUNTY, FL — Sheriff Carmine Marceno of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office has announced with profound sadness the passing of retired K-9 Karma. Karma, who began her service with LCSO in 2014, was a distinguished narcotics detection dog. Initially partnered with Captain Russell Park, she concluded her career alongside Sergeant Justin Adams. Karma’s career was marked by significant achievements, including the seizure of over 70 pounds of marijuana, 100 grams each of methamphetamine and heroin, 200 grams of cocaine, and over a million dollars in drug money. Her efforts contributed to over 100 felony arrests, aiding narcotics detectives and several federal agencies in major drug investigations.
