WILLIS, TX – A high school basketball player and his brother were arrested for attacking a coach in the parking lot of Willis High School. The incident occurred on Tuesday at about 9:52 p.m., following a basketball game between Willis and Conroe.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported the victim, a coach for Willis I.S.D., sustained injuries to his head, neck, face, and arms. The assault involved several individuals, including 17-year-old student Jevin Allen and his brother, Jarrick Allen, 22.

Jevin Allen, reportedly benched during the game for his behavior towards an opposing player, returned to the school with his family. A confrontation ensued in the parking lot, where Allen allegedly punched the coach in the face, and his brother Jarrick also participated in the assault.

The attack was interrupted by another coach and bystanders. The suspects fled the scene but were later apprehended by deputies. Video surveillance and witness interviews corroborated the victim’s account, leading to the arrest of the Allen brothers on charges of assault on a public servant.
