Multiple Shootings in Philadelphia Leave Two Dead, Others Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Late Monday, Terrence Lamar Crowder, 31, was fatally shot at his residence on the 1000 block of W. Ontario Street, North Philadelphia. Police report that the assailant fired upon Crowder after knocking on his door, striking him in the neck, chest, and arm.

Another shooting occurred before 2 p.m. Tuesday, claiming the life of a 33-year-old man on N. Croskey Street in North Philadelphia. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries at Temple University Hospital. The proximity of the incident to Frederick Douglass Mastery Charter School prompted a lockdown.

Further incidents included a shooting in East Germantown, where a 20-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and legs inside an apartment on Chew Avenue.


He is receiving treatment for serious injuries at Einstein Medical Center. In South Philadelphia, a dispute escalated into a shooting, critically injuring two men on S. 8th Street. Police apprehended two suspects and recovered firearms at the scene.

No arrests have been made in the homicides, and the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit asks anyone with information to contact them at 215-686-3334/3335. Tips can also be submitted via 215-686-8477 or the department’s website, with a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
