Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Announces Multiple Arrests in Warrant Sweep

ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD – The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Maryland State Police – Barrack C, announced a series of arrests made on Wednesday, targeting open and active warrants.

Michael Robert Caswell Jr., 37, of Cumberland, was apprehended on two District Court Bench Warrants for Violation of Probation, related to animal cruelty and neglect of a minor. He is currently held without bond.

Logan Ray Aldrich, 26, also of Cumberland, was detained on a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for violating pre-trial supervision on a probation violation charge. He remains in custody without bond.


Frank Leonard Nicol Jr, 30, of Frostburg, was arrested as a fugitive from justice, wanted in Virginia for probation violation. He awaits extradition.

Laura Mary Dorsey, 33, of Cumberland, was served a warrant for failing to appear in court on a drug possession charge. She was released after posting a $1,000 cash bond.
