New Jersey Business Owner Who Recorded Employees in Bathroom Facing Charges

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, faces multiple charges including nine counts of Invasion of Privacy and one count of Tampering with Evidence.

Zirpoli, owner of Plato’s Closet in Roxbury Township, is accused of illicitly recording employees in the restroom of his store and subsequently destroying evidence related to these acts.

The charges were announced by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, along with Chief of Investigations Robert McNally, and Chief Dean Adone of the Roxbury Township Police Department.


The investigation, involving the Roxbury Township Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit, led to Zirpoli’s arrest.

Following his arrest, Zirpoli was remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility and later released on pre-trial monitoring conditions. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office asks anyone with additional information regarding this or related incidents to contact them or the Roxbury Township Police Department.
