Car Plows Into Presidential Motorcade in Wilmington Biden Escorted Away

WILMINGTON, DE — A security breach occurred near President Joe Biden’s motorcade on Sunday night. A sedan collided with a U.S. Secret Service SUV that was part of the motorcade’s security setup. The incident took place while the President was leaving his campaign headquarters.

The sedan struck the Secret Service vehicle that blocked intersections for the President’s departure. The impact occurred as President Biden walked to his armored SUV. Following the collision, the sedan attempted to drive through a closed intersection. Secret Service agents quickly responded, drawing their weapons and ordering the driver to surrender.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, who were both nearby, were immediately secured. The President was escorted to his vehicle, where the First Lady was already waiting, and they were quickly transported back to their residence. The incident did not alter the President’s schedule.

The Secret Service has confirmed the crash was not intentional.
