DALLAS, TX — A bizarre incident unfolded in Dallas when a man allegedly hit a pedestrian with his car, resulting in the victim entering through the windshield and landing in the passenger seat. The driver, identified as Nestor Joel Lujan Flores, 31, is accused of continuing to drive for approximately 40 miles with the deceased individual beside him.

The White Settlement Police Department reported that they received a call after 11 p.m. on Saturday about a suspicious gray Kia Forte in a Jack in the Box restaurant parking lot on the 8700 block of Interstate Highway 30 Service Road. The vehicle exhibited severe front end damage and a shattered windshield, with a man appearing unresponsive behind the wheel.

Upon police arrival, an officer discovered a deceased person in the passenger seat and extracted the driver, Lujan Flores, from the vehicle. White Settlement Police Chief Christopher Cook stated that Lujan Flores appeared confused, believing he had struck an animal. Paramedics pronounced the passenger dead at the scene, and Lujan Flores was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

Investigators from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office later located a crash scene on the westbound service road of Interstate Highway 30 near Cockrell Hill Road. They found remains possibly linked to the deceased individual in the Kia Forte. The car had reportedly been parked in the restaurant lot for two to three hours before the emergency call was made.
