Suspect Arrested in February Shooting at Manhattan Lincoln Houses

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department announced the arrest of Avery Dunning, a 36-year-old Manhattan resident, in connection with a February shooting.

Dunning, charged with attempted murder, was apprehended on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on February 22, inside Lincoln Houses on East 135 Street. Dunning allegedly engaged in a dispute with a 41-year-old female resident, shooting her multiple times.


The victim was transported to Harlem Hospital and was in critical condition at the time.

The NYPD is actively seeking further information and asks anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact their Crime Stoppers Hotline or the provided online platforms.
