BRICK, NJ – Following an extensive investigation, the Brick Township Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) in conjunction with the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force, NJ Treasury Department, and NJ Consumers Affair Division, made significant arrests for the sale and distribution of illegal THC vape products.

The investigation focused on two local businesses, Welsh Farms and Pantry Farm, both situated on Rt. 88 in Brick.

Sarajbit Kaur, a 46-year-old resident of Brick, was arrested and charged with five counts of distributing THC products, intent to distribute these products, possession of prescription legend drugs, and money laundering. Kaur was subsequently released on a summons.

In a related arrest, 61-year-old Mannu Prasad, also from Brick, faces charges including conspiracy to distribute THC products, intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance (Psilocybin), and money laundering. Prasad too was processed and released on a summons.

Further, the Department of the Treasury and Consumer Affairs conducted inspections at both Welsh Farms and Pantry Farm. Welsh Farms faces charges including the sale of expired medication and illegal flavored vape products. Pantry Farm is charged with similar offenses, along with possessing an unregistered weighing and measuring device and failing to maintain a registration certificate.

The NJ Department of Health and the NJ Division of State Lottery are slated to conduct follow-up inspections at both locations for any additional violations.
