UTICA, NY – Justin Saldarriaga, a 20-year-old Utica resident, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses following a domestic violence incident.

On December 19, Utica Police responded to a call at a residence in the 1500 block of Neilson St. The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Saldarriaga, had visited her home, leading to an argument. During the altercation, Saldarriaga allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and punched her in the ribs. A four-year-old child was present in the room and witnessed the entire incident.

Further investigation revealed that there was an active and valid Stay Away Order of Protection against Saldarriaga. Utica Police, upon gathering details of the incident, located Saldarriaga in North Utica and arrested him without incident.

Saldarriaga was transported to the Utica Police Department and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment.
