NEWARK, NJ – From ice skating in downtown Newark to cozy igloos and dazzling light shows, New Jersey is alight with festive holiday activities for families and friends this season.

Here are some of our favorites:

In Newark, the Winter Village, open through January 2024, offers ice skating, Go Karts on ice, and private igloos for a warm, intimate setting. This bustling spot in downtown Newark, with varied activity costs, promises unforgettable winter memories.


Wildwood’s Family Holiday Celebration, also through December 31, features a wide range of holiday-themed activities.

Downtown Haddonfield’s Candlelight Shopping on December 22 features Santa, carriage rides, and luminarias.

Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Center lights up with the Magic of Lights, a drive-through experience, available until December 30. The cost starts at $20 per car.

The Village at Anne Ellen in Manalapan creates a winter wonderland with interactive exhibits, open until December 30. Tickets are $22 for adults and $12 for kids.

Jenkinson’s Pavilion and Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach celebrates with the Sea of Lights Holiday and Lights Spectacular on December 22 and 23, providing entertainment and Santa photo sessions.

Bell Works in Holmdel hosts its Fresh Holiday Markets on December 20 and 23, offering a collection of local handmade crafts with free admission.

Adventure Aquarium in Camden offers a unique experience with Christmas Underwater, featuring Scuba Santa, until December 24. Ticket prices range from $27.99 to $47.99.

Middlesex County Fair Grounds hosts Winter WonderLights, New Jersey’s largest animated holiday light show drive-thru, running through December 31. The show features over 1.5 million lights and costs $29 per car.

Cape May’s Holiday Lights Trolley Ride, available until December 31, provides a historical journey through the city’s streets, priced at $20 for adults and $15 for kids.

At Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford, families gather around fire pits and enjoy a spectacular Christmas “Light Show” Hayride until December 23. Admission starts at $9.95.

Skylands Stadium in Augusta transforms into a Christmas Village featuring various attractions, open until December 30. Entry costs $29 per car.

Galloway’s Smithville Village presents an orchestrated light show on Lake Meone, running every night from December 1 to 31.

Downtown New Brunswick’s Winter Wonderland, continuing through December 31, offers a range of events, with prices varying per activity.

Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange hosts its Holiday Lights event, encouraging donations to support those in need, open until December 31 (closed on December 24 and 25). Admission is free.

Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township lights up with over one million lights each night at 5:00 pm for its Christmas Fantasy with Lights. Tickets are priced at $32.95.

Demarest Farms in Hillsdale invites guests to the Orchard of Lights, a 32-acre light display, open until December 30. Admission is $35 per car.

South Jersey Holiday Light Show in Swedesboro, open on select dates through December 30, offers a mile-long drive-through light show.
