Police Investigating Robbery on University Avenue

NEW YORK, NY – A robbery occurred at a commercial establishment located at 1588 University Avenue on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, around 3:10 AM. According to the Annapolis Police Department, three unidentified individuals were involved in the incident.

The trio entered the establishment and one of them, simulating a firearm, coerced a 19-year-old male employee into the back stockroom. The suspects stole jewelry, a credit card, a cellphone, and store merchandise, collectively valued at approximately $36,395. Concurrently, the other two individuals raided the cash register.

The suspects, all male, have been described as follows


The first, about 6 feet tall with a slim build and medium complexion, wore a black Carhartt vest, black sweatshirt and sweatpants, a black face mask, and carried a gray Nike backpack.

The second, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build and medium complexion, was dressed in a black Carhartt vest, black sweatshirt and sweatpants, and a black face mask.

The third, around 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build and medium complexion, wore a blue jacket, black hoodie and sweatpants, a black face mask, and had a blue backpack.

The suspects fled on foot westbound on University Avenue. No injuries were reported in this incident. The Annapolis Police Department is actively investigating and seeks information from the public to apprehend the suspects.
