Woman Reports Man Punched Her Dog Fired Shot Before Fleeing

COLUMBUS, OH – An incident occurred on November 26, at approximately 2:40 pm, where an unidentified suspect fired a gunshot outside a residence and assaulted a dog.

The victim, upon checking on her dog, witnessed the suspect punching the animal while armed with a firearm. The suspect threatened the victim with the handgun before fleeing.

The suspect is described as having a mark beneath his left eye and visible tattoos on the back of his left and right hands.


The Columbus Police Department’s Property Crimes Bureau; Zone Investigations Unit, led by Detective Noltemeyer, is actively seeking information regarding this incident. The public is asked to contact Detective Noltemeyer or submit anonymous tips to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
