Two Fatalities Two Critically Injured in D.C. Shooting, Police Search for Suspect’s Jeep

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A tragic shooting incident has occurred in Southwest Washington, D.C., prompting an urgent search for a suspect vehicle by the Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch.

The incident unfolded yesterday morning at around 11:49 a.m. in the 1300 block of Half Street Southwest. Upon responding to the scene, officers discovered four victims with gunshot wounds: three men and one woman. The woman tragically died at the scene, and while the men were rushed to local hospitals, one of them has since passed away due to his injuries. The remaining two men are currently in critical condition.

In a significant development, the suspect vehicle has been identified through nearby surveillance footage. The vehicle is a white 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, bearing the Maryland license plate 2FD0820. It features a sunroof and tinted windows.


It is noteworthy that a vehicle matching this description was involved in an armed carjacking near Blair Street and Kansas Street on the same day.
