FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the 2016 fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Bradley Beach man. Quashon J. On February 8, 2016, Neptune Township Police responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of 7th Avenue. The victim, Andre Thorne, was found in a 2002 red Dodge Neon with a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite being rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Thorne was pronounced dead. Investigations revealed that Thorne was in the car with two others at the time of the incident.

McDuffie’s charges include first-degree Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, second-degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Joshua is charged with first-degree Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, second-degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon.

The arrests are the result of a joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Neptune Township Police Department, which uncovered the involvement of McDuffie and Joshua in the homicide.
