Prince George’s County Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill that claimed the life of 41-year-old Tracy Williams Jr. of Washington, D.C. In an effort to advance the investigation, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of December 26, 2023, at around 12:45 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 5100 block of Deal Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams in a stairwell, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are now focused on uncovering the motive behind the shooting and identifying the suspect or suspects responsible. The nature of the incident and any potential leads are currently under thorough examination.
