Christmas Morning Shooting in Paterson Sends One to Hosptial

PATERSON, NJ – A shooting incident in the early hours of Christmas morning resulted in a Paterson resident being hospitalized. The announcement was made by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi.

The incident occurred around 2:42 a.m. near the intersection of Madison Street and Morton Street. Paterson Police officers, upon arriving at the location, discovered a potential crime scene but initially found no victim.

The situation developed rapidly when Paterson Police received information about the victim’s arrival at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The nature of the victim’s injuries and their current condition have not been disclosed.


The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is actively seeking additional information regarding this shooting. They encourage anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
