Family of Hostage Ori Danino, Captured While Trying to Save Others

Pamela Rosenthal

DEAL, NJ – The Deal Police Department recently had the opportunity to meet with the mother and sister of Ori Danino, a 24-year-old who has been held hostage by Hamas for 82 days. Danino was taken hostage following his attendance at the Nova Festival.

Ori’s courageous actions included escaping and then returning in an attempt to save more people, only to be captured and taken to Gaza. This incident has cast a shadow over Ori and his family, yet they continue to hold onto hope.

The family highlighted that Ori’s name means “light” in Hebrew. This symbolism serves as a beacon of hope during a challenging time. Ori is engaged to be married.

The Deal Police Department, along with the community, stands in solidarity with Ori Danino, all hostages, and their families. They encourage everyone to keep Ori and others in similar situations in their thoughts and prayers, as efforts continue to secure their safe return.
