Man Left Outside Hospital With Gunshot Wounds Dead Two Hours Later

CAMDEN, NJ – Esterlin Torres, 35, from Pennsauken, succumbed to gunshot wounds after being left outside an emergency room in Camden County on Dec. 27, according to authorities. The Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez confirmed the incident.

Torres was shot just after 6:05 p.m. on the 1400 block of Louis Street. Following a ShotSpotter activation, police discovered Torres outside the emergency room entrance of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital with gunshot wounds. He was later transferred to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and Camden County Police Department are conducting an active investigation. They urge anyone with information to contact Detective Allison Dube-Smith at 856-225-7105 or Detective Brian Ford at 609-519-6927.
