Multiple Suspects Charged in Howard County Robberies”

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Howard County Police have announced charges against several individuals in connection with two separate robbery incidents that occurred in November, involving students from Centennial High School and an unrelated robbery in the same neighborhood.

The first incident, on November 8, involved two robberies of juvenile male victims in Ellicott City. One victim was approached while walking home from school on the 9700 block of Riverside Circle. The assailants, two female suspects with covered faces, brandished a handgun and stole his cell phone. In a similar incident nearby on the 9800 block of Gwynn Park Drive, another juvenile male reported his belongings stolen. In both cases, the victims were unharmed. After an investigation, police have charged three juvenile females from Baltimore, including two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old, with these robberies. These suspects are also charged in an attempted carjacking earlier that day in the 10300 block of College Square in Columbia. The investigation continues to determine if there were additional accomplices.

The second incident occurred on November 11 on the 4000 block of Arjay Circle in Ellicott City. An adult female reported being approached by two male suspects while unloading her vehicle at her residence. The suspects, with partially covered faces, displayed a gun and stole her purse before fleeing. Fortunately, the victim was not injured. As a result of the investigation, police have issued an arrest warrant charging 18-year-old Samuel Fikru of Silver Spring and a 15-year-old juvenile male with armed robbery, assault, and theft.
