BRIDGEVILLE, DE — Delaware State Police have apprehended 23-year-old Ian’Tae Albury, a Bridgeville resident, in connection with a homicide case from last month.

The incident unfolded on November 25, when troopers were dispatched to the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville at approximately 3:33 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Daquan Lake with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Lake was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

After a thorough investigation, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit identified Albury as the primary suspect. A warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued. On December 29, detectives executed a search warrant at the same location on Mill Park Drive, leading to Albury’s arrest without any further incidents.

The Delaware State Police have not divulged additional details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
