SOUTH BOSTON, VA — Teresa Seamon, a resident of South Boston, recently won $150,000 in the Powerball drawing held on December 16. Seamon, who prefers selecting her numbers based on significant family dates, played the game using the Virginia Lottery’s mobile app.

In the drawing, Seamon matched four of the first five winning numbers and the Powerball number. This combination typically awards a $50,000 prize, but Seamon’s decision to invest an additional dollar for the Power Play® option tripled her winnings to $150,000.

Upon realizing her win, Seamon expressed her astonishment to Lottery officials, saying, “I almost passed out when I realized I’d won! I’m still in shock!”

The winning numbers for the draw were 3, 9, 10, 20, 62, with 25 as the Powerball number. Seamon’s success highlights the possibilities within the Powerball game and the convenience of using digital platforms like the Virginia Lottery’s mobile app for participation.
