Citrus County Opens Cold Weather Shelter in Homosassa Amid Chilly Forecast

HOMOSASSA, FL – The Citrus Cold Weather Shelter in Homosassa opened its doors tonight in response to the expected drop in temperatures to 39 degrees. Located at the Nature Coast Community Church on 5113 S. Suncoast Blvd, the shelter will remain open from 6 PM until 7 AM.

In addition to providing a warm place to stay, the shelter offers hot meals, warm sleeping areas, and shower facilities. This initiative aims to support those in need during the cold weather.

Citrus County Transit is offering free transportation to the shelter, ensuring accessibility for those without personal vehicles. For bus route information, individuals can visit the official Facebook page or contact the shelter at 352-234-3099 for more details.
