As the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary approach, the former President faces a busy week in the legal arena, including an appeal regarding Maine’s ballot decision and filing federal papers on presidential immunity.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, also a former federal prosecutor, discussed the implications of these legal matters. He finds the Maine secretary of state’s argument about ballot exclusion to be legally intriguing but potentially divisive for the country. Christie emphasizes that voters should have the final say in such matters, predicting that the case may eventually reach the U.S. Supreme Court.

Regarding the former President’s argument for presidential immunity, Christie labeled it as “ridiculous” and expects it to be quickly dismissed. He doubts the Supreme Court will give much attention to the case, possibly denying certiorari and relying on lower court rulings.
