Prince George’s County Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Temple Hills

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — The Homicide Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting incident in Temple Hills. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Breon Fowler from Washington, DC, tragically lost his life in the early hours of January 1, 2024.

The police received a call around 4:30 am and promptly responded to the 2900 block of Brinkley Road. Upon arrival, officers found Fowler outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Initial investigations suggest that the incident was not a random act of violence. Detectives are currently focusing on establishing a motive and identifying any suspects involved in this fatal shooting.
