STAFFORD, VA – Michael Brosnan, a resident of Stafford, experienced disbelief turning to elation upon learning he had won $1 million in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. Brosnan’s journey to fortune began with a call from his father, informing him about a winning ticket sold at Paddy’s 32 Steakhouse & Pub on Center Street, Stafford – the same location where Brosnan purchased his tickets.

Upon checking the numbers, Brosnan found that his ticket, #007094, was the big winner. He described the moment of realization as nearly overwhelming, expressing how hard it was to believe his luck.

Brosnan’s winning ticket was one of five to claim the $1 million prize. The other four were bought in Arlington, Fredericksburg, Leesburg, and Manassas. Additionally, seven tickets won $100,000 each, purchased in Henrico, Lynchburg, Manassas, Poquoson, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Yorktown. The raffle also included 1,000 tickets winning $500 each.

For now, Brosnan has no immediate plans for his winnings, still absorbing the shock and joy of his unexpected fortune.
