Brick Township Police Blotter: Multiple Arrests Made

BRICK, NJ – In a string of police actions, Brick Police Department officers made several arrests on January 3 and 4, for various offenses ranging from active warrants to drug possession.

On Wednesday, January 3, Patrolman Jason Paulus arrested 19-year-old Anthony N. Velasquez of Brick, New Jersey, following a motor vehicle stop on 18th Avenue. Velasquez, who had an active arrest warrant, was processed and later released on bail.

The following day, Thursday, January 4, Patrolman Paulus was involved in another incident on Atlantic Avenue, arresting 41-year-old Matthew Walsh of Brick Township. Walsh was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to chemical breath testing. He was released under John’s Law.


Another arrest on the same day involved Patrolman Tyler Martin apprehending 53-year-old Wayne C. Bilder, also from Brick, on Shoreline Drive.

Bilder faced charges of cocaine possession, crack cocaine possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and intent to distribute cocaine. He was processed and released on a summons.
