NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a series of robberies involving a moped. The incidents all took place on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
The first incident occurred at approximately 3:30 AM near 150 West 179 Street, where a 54-year-old male was approached by two individuals on a moped. They brandished a knife and forcibly took the victim’s money and eyeglasses.
The second incident, involving a 22-year-old female victim, took place around 4:50 AM near 2776 Webb Avenue, with the suspects taking her jewelry and money.
The third incident occurred at approximately 5:38 AM near Aqueduct Avenue and West 182nd Street, targeting a 40-year-old male for his money.
The suspects are described as males with light complexions and medium builds. They were last seen wearing black jackets, black pants, and sneakers. The NYPD is requesting public assistance in identifying these individuals.
