Lynchburg Man Wins $100k in New Year’s Lottery Raffle

LYNCHBURG, VA – Ronald Cox, a Lynchburg resident, is celebrating a $100,000 win in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

Out of 625,000 raffle tickets, Cox’s ticket, #310859, emerged as one of seven second-prize winners. The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 2315 Bedford Avenue in Lynchburg.

Upon redeeming his ticket, Cox expressed his excitement, describing the experience as “outstanding” and “awesome.”


The raffle also awarded five $1 million prizes to tickets from Arlington, Fredericksburg, Leesburg, Manassas, and Stafford. Additionally, six other $100,000 winning tickets were sold in Henrico, Manassas, Poquoson, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Yorktown. Alongside these, 1,000 tickets won $500 each.
