NYPD Releases Images of Suspect in Brutal Subway Assault

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is calling for public assistance following an assault.

The incident took place on Saturday, December 16th, around 2:25 PM.

The victim, a 40-year-old female, was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified male on a northbound “4” train at the Broadway and Wall Street subway station.


The dispute escalated when the male grabbed the victim by the neck and struck her multiple times, causing minor injuries. The assailant then fled the scene.

He is described as a male, approximately 30 to 35 years old, 6’1″ tall, with a dark complexion and heavy build. He was last seen wearing a yellow hoodie, a multi-colored jacket, black jeans, multi-colored sneakers, and a gray winter hat. Images of the suspect are available at DCPI.
