PASADENA, MD – A Pasadena woman, known as “Pengywin”, won $50,000 on the “$” (Dollar Sign) scratch-off game. The win occurred on New Year’s Day at EZ Quick Food Market.

“Pengywin” chose to play newly launched scratch-offs. She bought two “$” tickets, which became available on December 28. She scratched her tickets that night, revealing the $50,000 top prize.

After confirming the win with her phone, she informed her mother and husband. Her mother expressed confidence in her eventual win. Her husband, initially skeptical, was convinced after seeing the ticket.

The winner has not disclosed plans for her winnings. EZ Quick Food Market will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The “$” game has six remaining $50,000 top prizes, fourteen $5,000 prizes, and twenty-four $1,000 prizes. It costs $5 per ticket.
