Hyde Park Drug Control Unit Arrests Randolph Man on Firearm and Drug Charges

BOSTON, MA – On Tuesday, officers from the Hyde Park District’s Drug Control Unit arrested Jahzyme Richardson, a 23-year-old from Randolph, on charges related to firearms and drugs.

While addressing quality of life complaints in the area, officers observed a suspected transaction between two vehicles in a skate park lot.

Upon intervention, it was discovered that Richardson had sold marijuana.


A subsequent search revealed a black Springfield Armory XD 40 Caliber pistol, loaded with ammunition and additional marijuana packages intended for distribution.

Richardson faces multiple charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of a Firearm During a Felony, and Distribution of Class D. He is expected to appear at West Roxbury District Court for arraignment.
