HARRISBURG, PA – Corey Kolcharno, a 49-year-old former defense attorney from Lackawanna County, has been sentenced to 4-23 months in prison followed by 2 years of probation.

The sentence, handed down on Thursday in Lackawanna County Court, comes after Kolcharno’s guilty plea to four felony counts of promoting prostitution. Kolcharno has also been mandated to surrender his license to practice law.

The Office of Attorney General, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State Police, conducted an investigation revealing that between 2018 and 2022, Kolcharno exploited his position to solicit sexual acts and materials from female clients and one client’s sister.

Many of these women were facing challenges like addiction or a history of sexual abuse.

Attorney General Michelle Henry condemned Kolcharno’s actions, stating they preyed on vulnerable individuals during difficult times, and emphasized the importance of this sentencing in holding him accountable.
