Arrest in Brighton for Firearm and Drug Charges

BRIGHTON, MA – Phillip Williams, a 39-year-old resident of Brighton, was arrested on Friday, by officers from the District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) Drug Control Unit on charges related to firearms and drugs.

Officers, responding to multiple complaints about drug-related activities, observed Williams and an associate behaving suspiciously and trespassing on private property.

Upon approach, officers noticed a bulge under Williams’ jacket. A pat frisk revealed a loaded firearm in a fanny pack and approximately 13 grams of a white rock substance, suspected to be drugs.


Williams faces charges including possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, firearm violation with prior violent/drug crimes, possession of Class B with intent, trespassing, and resisting arrest.

He will be arraigned at Brighton District Court. The second suspect, found with a spring-loaded knife, will be summoned for trespassing and possession of a dangerous weapon.
