COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris A. King, 28, and Justice B. Stringer, 29, of Columbus, received substantial prison sentences this week in U.S. District Court for their roles in the murder of a couple at a local Internet café.

King, convicted for the shooting and murder of both husband and wife, was sentenced yesterday to 480 months in prison. The incident occurred while the victims were working at the café.

Stringer, who facilitated the crime by driving co-defendants to and from the robbery that led to the murders, received a 360-month prison sentence today.

A federal grand jury indicted a total of five defendants in July 2019 for involvement in a series of robberies targeting Internet gaming businesses. This included the robbery at Players Paradise on East Broad Street, where the murders of security guard Joseph Arrington and his wife, employee Karen Arrington, took place on Jan. 20, 2019.

Court documents indicate King and an accomplice robbed Players Paradise at gunpoint, subsequently murdering the Arringtons. Stringer was responsible for their escape from the scene.

The group also executed a previous robbery at Players Paradise on Dec. 10, 2018, where they stole $30,000. Stringer confessed his role in another robbery on Jan. 7, 2019, at Planet Jackpot café on Alum Creek Drive.
