Newark Police Request Public Assistance in Identifying Shooting Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Department of Public Safety requests public assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a shooting incident that occurred on December 3.

At 7:38 p.m., Newark Police responded to reports of gunfire at the 100 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard. Officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds at the 100 block of Livingston Street. Another male victim was located on the 100 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard. Both victims were transported to University Hospital and are in stable condition.

The suspect, a Black male wearing all black, red and black sneakers, and a red and black scarf, and carrying a red crossover bag, is believed to frequent the area of 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard. Detectives urge anyone with information to come forward to aid in the timely identification of the suspect.
