Ohio Man Aims for Pinball Marathon Record

HAMILTON, OH – Jim Foliano, executive director of Ticket to Hope, is in the midst of a Guinness World Record attempt by playing pinball for a projected 63 consecutive hours. His endeavor began at 9 p.m. Thursday at Pinball Garage in Hamilton and is expected to conclude around noon Sunday.

Foliano’s record bid, played on an Avengers: Infinity Quest machine, serves a charitable purpose, raising funds for the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League fields. The proceeds will contribute towards acquiring an Avengers: Infinity Quest pinball machine for The Hope Center, a new indoor facility of the group.

The current record for the longest marathon playing pinball is 62 hours and 21 minutes, set by Andrew Robishaw in Florida last September. Foliano’s effort, promoting pinball as a beneficial activity for mental and physical health, especially for children, is being live-streamed on Twitch.

Previously, Foliano set a Guinness World Record for the most high fives in 24 hours, totaling 15,338. That achievement facilitated a community event, sending 1,000 people to a Cincinnati Reds game, underlining his commitment to charitable causes through record-breaking activities.
