Newark Police Seeking Identification of Theft Suspects

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is calling on the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a recent theft. The incident occurred on Sunday, January 14th, at the Garden Farm Market located in the 400 block of Market Street.

The episode unfolded at around 3:08 p.m. when four female suspects entered the market and proceeded to the floral department near the manager’s office. According to reports, one of the women, described as a heavy-set white female wearing a light-colored head scarf and a navy blue and white shawl over a light-colored shirt, entered the manager’s office and stole cash.

The group then exited the store and departed in a tan Toyota Sienna driven by a male, heading east on Market Street towards Monroe Street.


Detectives are actively investigating and are seeking the public’s help to identify these individuals. Director Fragé emphasizes the importance of community involvement in resolving this case.
