Late-Night Shooting in D.C. Prompts Police Search for Armed Suspects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. last night in the 5000 block of South Dakota Avenue in Northeast, Washington D.C. Authorities are actively searching for two suspects, reported to be traveling in a dark gray Honda Accord.

The D.C. Metro Police Department issued an alert following the incident, calling on the public to provide relevant information. Individuals with knowledge about the shooting or the whereabouts of the suspects are urged to contact the police at 202-727-9099.

In an effort to gather more leads, the department is also encouraging anonymous tips. Members of the public who wish to provide information without revealing their identity can do so via the department’s TEXT TIP LINE. Text messages can be sent to 50411 with any details related to the shooting.
