Toms River Township: Here’s What’s Open and What’s Closed

TOMS RIVER, NJ – In light of recent weather events, Toms River officials have announced updates on local facility operations and services. The Senior Center has suspended all appointments and activities. Residents in need of urgent assistance, including those without heat or requiring emergency appointments, can contact the emergency service team at 732-341-1000, extension 8208. Drivers are on standby to provide necessary aid.

As of now, the Town Hall, Toms River Animal Shelter, and Winding River Skating Center remain open. Citizens are advised to stay updated on the status of these facilities as conditions may warrant later closures.

The township is actively addressing road safety concerns, with approximately 20 trucks currently deployed for salting operations throughout the town. Residents are urged to exercise caution, stay safe, and keep warm during this period. Further updates will be provided as the situation evolves.
