Tampa Resident Wins $1 Million in Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Game

Yorjhans Rodriguez Damas, a 45-year-old Tampa resident, has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. Rodriguez Damas opted for a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

The winning ticket was purchased at Silver 7 Food Mart, located at 1701 West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa. For selling the winning ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission.

Launched in February, the $50 Scratch-Off game offers two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 additional $1 million prizes. The game boasts more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes, with overall odds of winning set at 1-in-4.50.
