POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has escalated the missing person case of Sierra Hernandez to a homicide investigation, as announced by Sheriff Judd in a recent update. Detectives are now actively seeking public assistance in locating 26-year-old Enrique Martinez, a key suspect in the case.

Martinez, already wanted for a first-degree murder charge in a separate November 2023 homicide, has now been implicated in the death of Sierra Hernandez. The circumstances surrounding Hernandez’s disappearance and the subsequent determination of her death as a homicide remain under investigation.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Heartland Crime Stoppers Florida, is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Enrique Martinez. This initiative underscores the urgency and importance of apprehending the suspect.

Sheriff Judd emphasized the need for community involvement, urging anyone with information about Martinez’s whereabouts or any relevant details about the case to come forward. Confidential tips can be submitted to Heartland Crime Stoppers Florida, ensuring anonymity for those who provide information.
