Burlington City Responds to Destructive Fire, Three Families Displaced

BURLINGTON, NJ – On Sunday, January 21, at approximately 2:00 pm, the Burlington City Police and Fire Departments responded to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of York Street. Upon arrival, first responders encountered a working fire in an attached dwelling, necessitating support from multiple mutual aid units.

The blaze resulted in substantial damage to three homes. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. However, the fire led to the displacement of three families. These families are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross and the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, who stepped in to provide the necessary support in the aftermath of the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the fire’s origin is not suspicious. The Burlington City Police and Fire Departments are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
