Hit-and-Run Driver Sought After Fatal Incident in Prince Frederick

PRINCE FREDERICK, MARYLAND – In the early hours of August 19, Calvert County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Dares Beach Road and Armory Road in Prince Frederick, following reports of a pedestrian-involved accident. Vincent Depaul “Johnny” Medley, 42, of Mechanicsville, was found deceased at the scene.

Medley was observed leaving Central Drive and Dares Beach Road on foot, dressed in a dark-colored t-shirt, blue jeans, a blue ball cap, and white tennis shoes. He was struck in the roadway by a dark-colored SUV, which then fled westbound on Dares Beach Road towards Route 4.
