An Alabama man, William Michael Spearman, 58, of Madison, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his role as the lead administrator of a website dedicated to the advertisement and distribution of child sexual abuse images and videos. This sentence was announced by Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe for the Southern District of Florida, Assistant Director Michael D. Nordwall of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division, and Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey B. Veltri of the FBI Miami Field Office.
Court documents revealed Spearman managed the site which included sections for the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers, images and videos of children subjected to pain and torture, and advice on avoiding law enforcement detection. Spearman pleaded guilty on June 12, 2023, to engaging in a child exploitation enterprise.
Several other individuals associated with the website have been convicted and sentenced in the Southern District of Florida. Selwyn David Rosenstein, Boynton Beach, Florida, was sentenced to 28 years in prison. Gregory Malcolm Good, Silver Springs, Nevada, received 25 years and 10 months. Robert Preston Boyles, Clarksville, Tennessee, was sentenced to 23 years and four months. Matthew Branden Garrell, Raleigh, North Carolina, received 20 years and 10 months. Joseph Addison Martin, Tahuya, Washington, and Joseph Robert Stewart, Milton, Washington, are awaiting sentencing.
