ISEVERN – On January 22 at about 6:00 p.m., officers patrolling on foot near Stillmeadows Drive and Durness Court observed a group of males in an area known for illegal drug activity. As officers approached, two individuals displaying signs of being armed fled the scene but were apprehended after a short pursuit.

One suspect, a 17-year-old male from Millersville, Maryland, was found in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock pistol with automatic capabilities and approximately 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine, packaged for distribution. The second suspect, 19-year-old Francis Valla Koroma from Severn, Maryland, was carrying a loaded Polymer 80 Glock-style handgun with an extended magazine capable of holding 33 rounds. Both suspects are legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

Following the discovery, both individuals were arrested and face charges related to weapons offenses and possession of controlled substances. The intervention by the officers not only removed illegal firearms from the streets but also potentially disrupted drug distribution activities in the area.
