Manchester Man Pleads Guilty to Terrorism in Ocean County Crime Spree

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – Dion Marsh, 28, from Manchester, pled guilty to Terrorism on Wednesday, for a series of crimes dating back to April 8, 2022.

Marsh’s plea, accepted by the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, P.J.Cr.P., could lead to a 30-year sentence in New Jersey State Prison without parole.

The spree began with an attempted carjacking in Lakewood, followed by multiple assaults and a carjacking.


Marsh’s actions escalated to hit-and-runs and an attempted kidnapping, culminating in a stabbing. All victims were treated and released from Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Marsh, arrested without incident on April 8, 2022, by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and Manchester Township Police Department, faces charges including Attempted Murder, Carjacking, and Bias Intimidation. The charge of Terrorism was added by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer with approval from Attorney General Matthew Platkin. Marsh remains in the Ocean County Jail.
