HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office announced the sentencing of 25-year-old Zachary Baum from Armstrong County to 9 to 25 years in prison for a series of sexual offenses and assaults committed between 2020 and 2022.

Baum was convicted of multiple charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual abuse of children, corruption of minors, indecent assault, strangulation, stalking, and simple assault.

The week-long trial in October heard testimonies from three young women, aged between 16 and 20, who detailed their experiences with Baum.

He used social media platforms like Snapchat and Facebook to contact and persistently message the victims, eventually persuading them to meet him.

The investigation, led by the Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning and referred to the Office of Attorney General by the Armstrong County District Attorney’s Office, resulted in the significant prison sentence.
