HUNTINGTOWN, MD – Deputy Brown, from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 3200 block of Ben Oak Drive in Huntingtown on January 18.

The vehicle, found idling with lights on, was driven by Robert William Twigg, a 50-year-old resident of Dunkirk.

Visible drug paraphernalia in the vehicle prompted a K9 sniff by DFC Hendrickson and K9 Atlas, which indicated the presence of illegal substances.

A search of Twigg’s vehicle uncovered a plastic bag with a powdery substance (suspected methamphetamine), 2 Suboxone pills, and other prescription pills wrapped in tinfoil.

Twigg was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis following his transportation to the Calvert County Detention Center.
